Fire Door Replacement Works

 Project Information:

To carry out the installation aspect of replacing and certifying a total of 134 fire doors across 2 different
accommodation blocks, Shaw Building & Southlands
Building.

Works were carried out around in live working facilities with students and staff members.

This project was provided as 1 complete project and split into two working blocks; the first
working area was Shaw building and the second working area was Southlands building. The
replacements took place in Blocks A & B in Shaw building and Blocks F & G in Southlands
buildings and each block had its own specific set of accommodation doors that were to be
replaced. Each accommodation block would typically involve replacing 10no Bedroom Doors,
1no Lobby Door, 1no Kitchen Door, 1no Riser Cupboard Door and 1no Plantroom Door. Works
were carried out in the summer period however; there was a few areas that were still occupied
by either students and staff members.
