Project Information:
The remodelling works to the A&E Department was a fast and intense project whilst working
under COVID patient areas and live areas of the A&E Department. The job was working on
some phases being 24/7 to push the job forward to account for the new strain of Covid-19.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
C The project was split into 6 phases which refurbished the following areas:
-Bradbury Wing (Old Audiology Department) expansion of A&E and Same day emergency
-Paediatrics (Full department refurb and Mental Health Areas)
-Majors (Mental Health Areas)
-Resuscitation
-UTC (Urgent Treatment Centre) Expansion.
Works Consisted of the following:
– Demolition of existing walls
– Blocking up existing walls.
– Modification to extraction
– Modification of lighting
– Partition walls
– New vinyl flooring
– New anti-ligature toilet
– New anti-ligature mental health room
– New clean utility including Stirling medical cabinets
– New dirty utility including sluice and maccerator
– New suspended ceiling
– New nurse station
– Decoration
– Wall protection and corner guards
– New Woman’s health room
– Installation of new dado trunking throughout
– Installation of Cableflow trunking and Nurse Call
– Installation of new door signage
