Project Information:
To carry out the installation aspect of replacing and
certifying a total of 482 fire doors across 43 different
accommodation blocks.
This project was provided in 2 stages and each phase had a specific set of accommodation block that the door-sets were to be replaced in. Each accommodation block would typically involve replacing 8 Bedroom Doors, 1 Lobby Door, 1 Kitchen Door, 1 Riser Cupboard Door .
Works were carried out around in live working facilities with students and staff members.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The works included:-
Door replacement measuring survey.
Replacement of existing flat lobby door-sets.
Replacement of existing bedroom door -sets.
Replacement of existing kitchen door -sets.
Replacement of existing electrical distribution riser door -sets.
Replacement of existing telecommunication riser door -sets.
Replacement of existing plantroom door -sets.
Door automation system fitted to specific doors.
Access control system fitted to all doors (Salto).
Decorations completed to architraves and wall surrounds.
All replacement door -sets were upgraded to FD30 & FD60.
BM Trada certification of installed fire doors.
Installation of fire stopping measures.
Upgrading of existing fire compartmentations.
