This run down ward was in serious need of renovation and needed to be brought back to life. We refurbished this ward from a 22 bed into a 24 bed area creating new rooms for staff and patients, showers, wet rooms and clinical rooms. We created bigger spaces for patients and provided a new reception area for staff which included a new reception desk and office. The main works involved:

-Demolition of internal walls and external load bearing wall for extension of wards
-Formation of timber walls, cladding externally, metal sheet roofing and installation of uPVC windows to extend the 2no 6 bed ward areas
-Mechanical works including ventilation system, heating system, A/C and hot and cold modifications
-Electrical works including nurse call, bedhead trunking, fire alarms, access control, power, lighting and data.
-Alterations of the existing Medical gas system including additional bed areas
-Creation of sluice room
-Creation of bespoke Commercial stainless steel kitchen area
-Shower areas including En-suite to ward areas
-Upgrade of all doorset to FD30 and FD60 including ironmongery, fire alarm connections and intumescent door grills
-Reception area including roller shutter
-Reception desk
-Decorations
-Flooring
-Suspended ceilings
-Cubicle tracks and blinds
-Wall protection
