This was a 9 week project at the University of Creative Arts in Farnham which required us to work very closely with members of staff and students at the college to ensure works were completed smoothly and with minimal disruptions. This project involved creating a new area of works the growing Jewellery and Ceramics department at the college. Our brief was to split the already existing Jewellery area in to two separate areas with a special fire rated Fermacell board which were resistant to an extremely high temperature due to the nature of the machinery and use of machines in the area. We provided a new high-tech air handling unit ventilation system which produced sufficient supply and extract to the area and would be situated on the roof of the existing building. This project also involved us providing a complete electrical update with new lighting throughout and hang man sockets that were hung from the existing ceilings alongside bring the whole area up to scratch with new decorations throughout.
